The client is a West Asia based chemical manufacturing company

Under technical supervision of the Technical Program Manager, this position is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of a cloud-based high-performance product deployable in Azure or other clouds

Core Role Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting distributed software systems in a Microservices SaaS architecture, to ensure the smooth availability, performance, scalability and security of the services
Teamwork, Collaboration and Empowerment: Collaborates, adds value through participation in peer code
reviews, provides comments and suggestions, makes effective decisions quickly.
Technical Ownership: Assumes technical accountability for his/her specific work products within an application and provides technical support during solution design for new requirements
Ensures that documentation related to specific modules/applications is correct and up to date

Required Skills and Experience:

BS in Computer Science or related field, and 5+ years of enterprise software development experience
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure developments
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across scalable, distributed systems
Proficiency in one of the two modern programming languages - Python
Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and Azure or AWS
Knowledge of industry wide technology trends, scalability, and security best practices
Microservice design patterns and exposure to Cloud based application development
Experience with Hadoop is required
Proficiency with SQL (Postgres, MySql) and NoSql (MongoDb, Redis, MemcacheD) database technologies is required
Experience with Oozie or other workflow schedulers is required
Experience with NLP techniques is a plus
Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Web Service, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ or other is a plus
Experience with Scala is a plus
Operating Systems: Linux system administration expertise with bash
Version Control: Good understanding of git, Github Enterprise, and Git webhooks
Agile Methodologies: Nice to have experience with Agile software development methodology
