Our client is currently looking for suitably qualified underground diamond drillers

About the job
Working as an Underground Diamond Driller you set up and prepare for drilling operations, train others and run site operations in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company and site policies and procedures. You will operate an LM90 Underground Drill Rig or similar to company and client specifications .
The following will be provided while working on the roster.

PPE will be provided
Accommodation and meals
Travel and airfares from agreed point of hire to site will be provided
Where required Suitably qualified candidates will be enrolled in nationally recognised Certificates in drilling operations. This training is provided on the job.

Minimum Requirements to obtain site entry are

You Must have the right to work in Australia
You Must have previous Underground Drilling experience (competent)
You Must have a current drivers’ licence
A suitable National Police Clearance
Ability to pass a full company medical including drug and alcohol screening.

Highly Desirable for this role

First Aid and CPR
Working at Heights
Hiab licence
4x4 Defensive driving competency

Your Point of Hire
Due to covid-19 This role would suit candidates preferably from the Northern Territory or states that do not have closed borders and strict quarantine requirements. However, each application will be assessed on the job criteria and will look at all candidates with the right to work in Australia. The client has the ability provide accommodation in Darwin for the break off roster.

Skills and experience
Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 2-3 years of demonstratable underground drilling experience and possess sound communication skills, both oral and written with reasonable demonstratable mechanical and dexterity skills.
This position suits a team player that is willing to learn new tasks, train others and have pride in your work.
