Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation is seeking an Executive Director of Charities to provide dedicated leadership across three new charity brands – Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity, Evelina London Children’s Charity and Guy’s Cancer Charity.

This is an exciting new role for the organisation, created to provide dedicated leadership across the new brands to give distinction to three priority areas - children, cancer, and unrestricted funding - and separation from other aspects of the Foundation’s work. It is a unique opportunity to lead a multi-brand charity portfolio supporting one of the best-known NHS brands in the country with an ambition to grow that is backed by investment.

The Executive Director of Charities will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for the charities and delivering ambitious plans. It will also manage dedicated funding and fundraising teams and will have a major focus on building a ‘one team’ approach across departments and partners, to drive a culture of philanthropy. The position sits on the Executive Team, reports into the Chief Executive and plays an active role in developing the Foundation’s vision, strategy and culture.

The successful candidate will be joining the team at a pivotal time, to grow the role that philanthropy can play to benefit patients and staff and deliver a fundraising strategy which aims to significantly increase the charities’ income and achieve impact at a comparative level to global peers.

We are seeking candidates who are accomplished leaders with proven success in strategy development and delivery, as well as a track record in building and leading high performing teams and positive cultures. You will have demonstrable experience of driving significant income growth and will be a skilled communicator with experience of engaging and developing relationships with a wide range of audiences.
