About the role

Seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to report directly to the Controller. You wil be in charge of ensuring timely and accurate processing of all AP and employee expense reports, while processing invoices, managing workflows, researching discrepancies and managing the relationship with vendors. Additionally, you will assist with accounting period-end close accruals.

Responsibilities

Manage high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable duties including 2 and 3-way matching and
securing proper approvals for non-PO invoices
Communicate with vendors, team members, and other individuals as needed to resolve invoice
discrepancies, obtain missing documents, and field vendor inquiries.
Reconcile invoices to purchase orders in NetSuite
Ensure timely payments to vendors and resolve any issues through collaborative processes with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

Associates degree and/or Bachelors degree in Accounting is preferred
3+ years in Accounts Payable
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred, others are considered) and MS Excel
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable processes
Experience in a physical inventory environment and 3-way match
Ability to handle a high volume of invoices and meet deadlines
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders
An attention to detail along with a passion for teamwork and continuous improvement
Small company/small teams background is highly preferred
