Substitute teacher

We are currently looking for a teacher to join us on a temporary or permanent basis. In order to encourage the learning environment while their regular teacher is absent, the Substitute Teacher will need to manage the class effectively. If you are friendly, with high interest in education, then we are interested in you.

Substitute teacher responsibilities:

• Contribute to student learning, growth and advancement
• Follow procedure and achieve lesson goals
• Apply various techniques to encourage participation and effective learning
• Adapt teaching methods which can be understood by every individual
• Assign and explain homework clearly
• Invest in learners’ well-being, health and safety
• Follow up with all school regulations and policies at all times
• Make sure students maintain the decorum of the class
• Oversee school equipment and ensure students use it properly
• Serve as a role model for students

Substitute teacher qualification and skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification
• A minimum 2 years experience
• In-depth knowledge of different learning and teaching techniques
• Ability to organize tasks and manage the deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students of specified age groups so as to handle, lead and instruct students to accomplish their educational goals
• Basic and general knowledge of all the subjects
• Passion for teaching and learning
