Headhunter

« Back to Glossary Index

A headhunter specializes in recruiting candidates to fill specific roles.
The difference between a headhunter and a regular recruiter is that of their core skill sets. Headhunters are people who are expected to poach or “headhunt” candidates with specific skills from target organizations. Organizations generally use the services of a headhunter to fill senior positions.

Headhunters generally charge a higher percentage fee than normal recruiters because of the skill required and time taken to fill these roles.
Headhunter’s fees generally fall in the range of 20%-40% of the final offer made to the candidate.
