Job summary:

We're looking for a Bartender to mix and serve drinks and look after guests at [bar or restaurant name]. The right person knows classic cocktails, serves alcohol responsibly, and keeps the bar running smoothly on busy nights.

Bartenders shape the guest experience and drive a large share of beverage sales. Fast, accurate service and responsible alcohol service build loyal guests and protect the business's license.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks to recipe and presentation standards.
• Check IDs and follow responsible alcohol service laws, including refusing service to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Take orders and payments on [Toast, Square, or the POS system] and manage tabs accurately.
• Recommend drinks and pairings and explain the cocktail, beer, and wine lists.
• Set up and stock the bar, including garnishes, ice, glassware, and syrups.
• Track pours and help with inventory counts to control costs.
• Keep the bar, tools, and glassware clean and follow food safety rules.
• Serve food at the bar and work with servers and the kitchen on orders.
• Handle guest complaints calmly and involve a manager when needed.
• Open or close the bar, including cash counts and closing checklists.
