Job summary:

Key responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas on a set schedule.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces such as door handles and countertops.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Restock restrooms and break rooms with paper products, soap, and other supplies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, glass doors, and fixtures to maintain a professional appearance.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) instructions when using cleaning chemicals.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs and tightening fixtures, and report larger maintenance issues.
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and events.
• Respond quickly to spills, leaks, and other cleaning emergencies to keep areas safe.
• Check that doors and windows are secured at the end of each shift.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• [1+] years of experience in custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance work.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safe handling practices.
• Ability to lift up to [50] pounds ([23] kg), climb ladders, and stand or walk for long periods.

• Ability to pass a background check, if required for the facility.

• Experience with floor stripping and waxing.
