Job summary:

We're looking for an Investment Banking [Analyst / Associate] to work on M&A and capital markets deals in the [sector] group at [firm name]. The right person builds strong financial models, prepares client materials, and handles a fast-paced deal workload.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build financial models, including DCF, LBO, merger, and comparable company analysis.
  • Prepare pitch books, management presentations, and offering materials.
  • Run due diligence and manage virtual data rooms.
  • Research companies, industries, and potential buyers or targets.
  • Coordinate with clients, lawyers, accountants, and other advisors.
  • Help manage deal timelines and buyer outreach.
  • Draft sections of confidential information memorandums.
  • Review financial statements and identify key value drivers.
  • Use data tools such as [Capital IQ, PitchBook, or Bloomberg].
  • Follow [FINRA, FCA, ASIC, or SEBI] rules and firm compliance policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA for associate roles.
  • [X]+ years of investment banking, transaction services, or corporate finance experience.
  • FINRA SIE and Series 79 qualifications plus the NASAA Series 63 [or CISI qualifications (UK), AFS licensee requirements (AU), or NISM certifications (India)], or ability to obtain them.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with Capital IQ or PitchBook.
