Job summary:

We're looking for a board-certified Pathologist to diagnose disease through tissue, cell, and lab analysis at [company name]. The right person delivers accurate, timely reports and serves as a trusted consultant to clinicians.

Pathologists provide diagnoses that guide treatment decisions, including nearly every cancer diagnosis. Accurate, on-time reports improve patient outcomes and keep the lab compliant and efficient.

Key responsibilities:

• Examine surgical and biopsy specimens and diagnose disease using microscopy.
• Interpret cytology specimens such as Pap tests and fine-needle aspirations.
• Order and interpret special stains, immunohistochemistry, and molecular tests.
• Perform intraoperative frozen section consultations.
• Write clear, timely pathology reports that use synoptic reporting where required.
• Consult with surgeons, oncologists, and other clinicians and present at tumor boards.
• Serve as [medical director or section director] for clinical lab areas such as chemistry or blood bank [if applicable].
• Take part in quality assurance, proficiency testing, and peer review.
• Use [LIS such as CoPathPlus or Epic Beaker] and digital pathology tools.
