Job summary:

We're looking for a board-certified Cardiologist to diagnose and treat patients with heart and vascular conditions at [company name]. The right person delivers evidence-based care, reads cardiac tests accurately, and works closely with primary care and surgical teams.

Cardiologists help patients prevent and manage heart disease, the leading cause of death in the US. Strong cardiology care lowers readmissions, improves outcomes, and builds referral volume for the practice.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valve disease.
• Order and interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter or event monitor results.
• Perform [cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, or other procedures] based on training and hospital privileges.
• Build and adjust treatment plans that follow ACC/AHA guidelines.
• See patients in outpatient clinic and respond to inpatient cardiology consults.
• Counsel patients on medications, lifestyle changes, and cardiac risk factor control.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, cardiac surgeons, and nursing staff.
• Document encounters accurately in [Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), or other EHR].
• Take part in [shared call coverage], peer review, and quality improvement work.
• Meet coding, billing, and HIPAA [or local privacy law] compliance standards.

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed internal medicine residency and an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease through ABIM [or a CCT in Cardiology (UK), FRACP (AU), or a DM in Cardiology (India)].
• Active, unrestricted medical license in [state] [or GMC registration (UK), AHPRA registration (AU), or state medical council registration (India)], or eligibility to obtain one.
• Active DEA registration [US only] and current BLS and ACLS certification.
