Job summary:

We're looking for a board-certified Medical Oncologist to diagnose and treat patients with cancer at [company name]. The right person builds evidence-based treatment plans, manages systemic therapy safely, and works closely with a multidisciplinary cancer team.

Oncologists guide patients and families through some of the hardest decisions they will face. Accurate staging, safe treatment, and clear communication improve survival, quality of life, and patient trust in the cancer program.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and stage patients with solid tumors and [hematologic malignancies].
• Build treatment plans that follow NCCN guidelines, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
• Order and interpret biomarker and genomic testing to guide treatment choices.
• Review and sign chemotherapy orders and monitor patients for side effects and toxicities.
• Present cases at multidisciplinary tumor boards with surgery, radiation oncology, and pathology.
• Enroll eligible patients in clinical trials [if available].
• Discuss prognosis, goals of care, and palliative care options with patients and families.
• Coordinate survivorship care and long-term follow-up.
• Document visits and treatment plans in [Epic Beacon, Oracle Health, or other oncology EHR].
• Follow HIPAA [or local privacy law], safe chemotherapy handling, and accreditation standards such as [CoC or QOPI].

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed internal medicine residency and an ACGME-accredited fellowship in [medical oncology or hematology-oncology].
• Board certification or board eligibility in Medical Oncology through ABIM [or a CCT in Medical Oncology (UK), FRACP (AU), or a DM in Medical Oncology (India)].
