Job summary:

We're looking for a Quality Control Manager to lead inspection, testing, and quality systems for our [products or facility]. You'll set quality standards, lead the quality team, and work with production and suppliers to stop defects at the source. The right person knows quality management systems, uses data well, and holds a firm line on standards.

Quality control managers protect customers and the company's reputation. Strong quality control cuts scrap and rework, reduces complaints and returns, and keeps the business ready for customer and certification audits.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain the quality management system (QMS) to ISO 9001 and any sector standards, such as IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO 13485.
• Set inspection plans, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria for incoming, in-process, and final inspection.
• Run statistical process control (SPC) and capability studies to monitor key processes.
• Lead nonconformance reporting, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and root cause analysis.
• Run internal audits and host customer, certification body, and regulatory audits.
• Manage supplier quality, including supplier audits, scorecards, and corrective action requests.
• Manage customer complaints and returns and report trends to leadership.
• Oversee calibration of gauges and test equipment.
• Keep products compliant with regulations where they apply, such as the FDA Quality Management System Regulation (QMSR) for medical devices [or MHRA (UK), TGA (AU), or CDSCO (India) requirements].
• Hire, train, and lead quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Chemistry, or a related field.
• [X]+ years of quality experience in manufacturing, including [X] years in a quality leadership role.
• Hands-on experience maintaining an ISO 9001 or sector-specific quality management system.
• Working knowledge of SPC, measurement system analysis (MSA), and root cause tools, such as 8D and fishbone diagrams.
• Experience with statistical software, such as Minitab or JMP, and QMS software, such as MasterControl or ETQ Reliance.
• Experience leading audits and closing audit findings.
