Job summary:

We're looking for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders at [company name]. The right person uses evidence-based therapy and works closely with patients, families, and care teams.

Speech-Language Pathologists help people communicate, eat safely, and take part in daily life. Effective therapy improves independence, safety, and quality of life for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform swallowing studies such as modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) or FEES [as applicable].
• Build treatment plans with measurable goals for each patient.
• Deliver individual and group therapy in [hospital, outpatient, school, or home health] settings.
• Recommend diet textures and safe swallowing strategies using IDDSI standards.
• Set up and train patients on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers strategies to use at home.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and [teachers or IEP teams].
• Document evaluations and progress notes in [EHR or school system] that meet [Medicare, IDEA, or local] requirements.
• Supervise clinical fellows or SLP assistants [if applicable].

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or a clinical fellowship in progress.
• Active SLP license in [state] [or HCPC registration (UK), Speech Pathology Australia certification (AU), or RCI registration (India)] and [state teaching credential, if a school setting].
• Current BLS certification [for medical settings].
