Job summary:

We're looking for a General Counsel to lead all legal matters for [company name]. The right person gives clear, practical advice, manages legal risk, and helps the business grow with confidence.

The General Counsel protects the company while helping it move fast. Strong legal leadership reduces risk, prevents disputes, and supports deals, compliance, and governance.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise the CEO, leadership team, and board on legal risks and business decisions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including customer, vendor, partnership, and employment agreements.
• Manage corporate governance, board materials, and corporate records.
• Lead compliance programs for [employment, data privacy, anti-bribery, and industry] regulations.
• Oversee data privacy compliance under laws such as [GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or the DPDP Act].
• Manage litigation, disputes, and regulatory inquiries with outside counsel.
