Job summary:

We're looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide hands-on daily care to patients or residents at [company name]. The right person holds an active state CNA certification, treats every patient with dignity, and works well under the direction of licensed nurses.

CNAs spend more time with patients than almost anyone else on the care team. Reliable, attentive care keeps patients safe and comfortable and helps nurses catch changes in condition early.

Key responsibilities:

• Help patients or residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake and output.
• Turn, reposition, and transfer patients safely using gait belts and mechanical lifts.
• Help patients walk and complete range-of-motion exercises.
• Answer call lights promptly and check on assigned patients during rounds.
• Report changes in condition, skin integrity, or behavior to the charge nurse right away.
• Serve meals that follow each patient's diet orders, restrictions, and allergies.
• Document care in [PointClickCare, Epic, or other EHR].
• Follow infection control, fall prevention, and HIPAA [or local privacy law] standards.
• Keep patient rooms clean, stocked, and free of safety hazards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved nurse aide training program.
• Active CNA certification and a listing on the [state] nurse aide registry [or the Care Certificate (UK), a Certificate III in Individual Support (AU), or a GDA certificate (India)].
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
