Job summary:

We're looking for a School Psychologist to support students at [school name or district] through assessment, counseling, and intervention. The right person evaluates learning and behavior needs, works closely with teachers and families, and helps every student succeed.

School psychologists help schools find and remove barriers to learning. Accurate evaluations and well-planned supports lead to better IEPs, fewer behavior incidents, and stronger mental health across the school.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to determine special education eligibility under IDEA.
• Give and interpret standardized assessments such as [WISC-V, Woodcock-Johnson, and BASC-3].
• Write clear evaluation reports and present findings at IEP and 504 meetings.
• Provide individual and group counseling for social, emotional, and behavior needs.
• Complete functional behavior assessments and help write behavior intervention plans.
• Support multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) and response to intervention (RTI) teams.
• Lead suicide risk and threat assessments following district protocols.
• Respond to crises and support students and staff after traumatic events.
• Train teachers on behavior strategies, mental health awareness, and classroom supports.
• Meet IDEA evaluation timelines and keep records confidential under FERPA.

• Specialist (EdS) or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid [State] school psychologist certification or license [or HCPC registration as an educational psychologist (UK), AHPRA registration (AU), or RCI registration (India)].

• Training in standardized cognitive, academic, and behavior assessments.
