Warehouse Associate

Job summary:

We're looking for a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, pick, pack, and ship orders in our [distribution center or fulfillment center]. You'll use handheld scanners and our warehouse management system to keep every order accurate. The right person is careful, quick, and works well with a team.

Warehouse associates are the reason orders arrive correct and on time. Accurate picking and clean inventory records cut returns, reduce shipping costs, and keep customers coming back.

Key responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments, check them against purchase orders, and report damage or shortages.
  • Label and put away stock in the correct locations using RF scanners.
  • Pick orders accurately from pick lists or the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Pack orders with the right materials and print shipping labels.
  • Stage outbound shipments by carrier and route.
  • Run cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Process customer returns and restock items that can be resold.
  • Meet daily pick, pack, and accuracy targets.
  • Keep aisles and work areas clean and follow safety and PPE rules.
  • Lift and move items of up to [50] pounds ([23] kg).
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED [or GCSEs, a Year 12 certificate, or a Class 12 pass], or equivalent work experience.
  • [X]+ months of warehouse, retail stockroom, or fulfillment experience.
  • Ability to use handheld scanners and basic computer systems.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for a full [8- to 10-hour] shift.
  • Availability to work [day, evening, weekend, or peak season] shifts.
  • Basic math skills for counts and order checks.

  • E-commerce fulfillment experience.
