Job summary:

We're looking for a Geologist to map, sample, and model the deposits at our [mine, quarry, or exploration project]. You'll log drill core, interpret geological data, build models, and advise mining teams on ore boundaries and ground conditions. The right person is careful with data, comfortable in the field, and able to explain findings clearly.

Geologists tell the operation where the resource is and how good it is. Accurate mapping and modeling improve mine plans, reduce dilution and ore loss, and support reliable resource reporting to investors and regulators.

Key responsibilities:

• Map and sample outcrops, pits, faces, and underground workings.
• Log drill core and chips, and manage sampling, chain of custody, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC).
• Plan exploration and grade control drilling with the drilling and mine planning teams.
• Build and update geological and resource models with software, such as Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, Datamine, or Micromine.
• Manage geological data in a database, such as acQuire, and in GIS tools, such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.
• Mark ore and waste boundaries in the field and track grade, dilution, and reconciliation.
• Assess ground and groundwater conditions and share findings with geotechnical and mine engineers.
• Support mineral resource estimates and reports under SEC S-K 1300 [or the JORC Code (AU), PERC (UK and Europe), or UNFC-based rules (India)].
• Follow site safety and environmental rules under MSHA regulations [or the Mines Regulations 2014 or Quarries Regulations 1999 (UK), state mine safety laws (AU), or the Mines Act 1952 and DGMS rules (India)].
• Lift and carry sample bags and core trays of up to [50] pounds ([23] kg).

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or Geological Engineering.
• [X]+ years of geology experience in mining, quarrying, or exploration.
• Experience logging core and running sampling and QA/QC programs.
• Working knowledge of geological modeling and GIS software.
• Current MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 miner training [or the site induction and competency training required by local mine safety law].
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in remote field locations.
