Job summary:

We're looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, and deliver patient care in our [unit or care setting] at [company name]. The right person holds an active RN license, gives safe, patient-centered care, and works well on a team.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess patients, create nursing care plans, and update them as conditions change.
• Administer medications and treatments safely using barcode medication administration.
• Monitor vital signs, lab results, and symptoms and report changes to providers.
• Start and manage IV lines and perform wound care and other nursing procedures.
• Teach patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care at home.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other care team members.
• Document assessments and care accurately in [Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), or other EHR].
• Delegate tasks to and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and patient care technicians.
• Respond to emergencies and take part in rapid response events.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and HIPAA [or local privacy law] standards.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred.
• Passing score on the NCLEX-RN exam [for US roles].
• Active RN license in [state] or a multistate compact license [or NMC registration (UK), AHPRA registration (AU), or Indian Nursing Council registration (India)].
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS [based on unit].
