Job summary:

We're looking for a Truck Driver to haul [freight type] on [local, regional, or over-the-road] routes. You'll drive a tractor-trailer, inspect your equipment, track your hours, and deliver loads safely and on time. The right person has a clean driving record, plans well, and keeps dispatch informed.

Truck drivers move the goods that keep customers and stores supplied. Safe, on-time deliveries protect customer relationships, cut costly claims, and keep the fleet's safety scores strong.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive a tractor-trailer on assigned routes and deliver loads safely and on schedule.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and file driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs).
• Record hours of service in an electronic logging device (ELD) under FMCSA rules [or GB drivers' hours and tachograph rules (UK), Heavy Vehicle National Law fatigue rules (AU), or local driving hours rules (India)].
• Secure cargo with straps, chains, and load bars to cargo securement rules.
• Check bills of lading against the load and collect signed proof of delivery.
• Plan trips with truck-safe GPS routing, and account for weight limits, bridge heights, and rest stops.
• Keep in contact with dispatch about delays, route changes, and delivery issues.
• Report accidents, damage, and equipment problems right away.
• Help load and unload freight when required, lifting up to [50] pounds ([23] kg).
• Keep the truck clean and log fuel, tolls, and trip expenses.

• Valid CDL Class A [or a Category C+E licence with Driver CPC (UK), an HC or MC licence (AU), or a transport vehicle licence for heavy goods vehicles (India)].
• Current DOT medical examiner's certificate [or a D4 medical (UK), a heavy vehicle medical assessment where required (AU), or a Form 1-A medical certificate (India)].
