Job summary:

We're looking for a board-certified Gastroenterologist to diagnose and treat digestive system and liver conditions at [company name]. The right person performs high-quality endoscopy and builds clear, personalized treatment plans.

Gastroenterologists prevent colorectal cancer through screening and help patients manage chronic digestive disease. Strong GI care improves outcomes and supports referral and procedure volume.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat conditions such as GERD, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), IBS, liver disease, and GI bleeding.
• Perform colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), and polypectomies.
• Perform [ERCP, EUS, or other advanced procedures] based on training and hospital privileges.
• Meet endoscopy quality benchmarks such as adenoma detection rate (ADR) and cecal intubation rate.
• See patients in outpatient clinic and respond to inpatient GI consults.
• Interpret lab, imaging, and pathology results to guide treatment.
• Manage biologic and immunomodulator therapy for patients with IBD.
• Coordinate care with primary care, surgery, oncology, and nursing teams.
• Document encounters and procedures in [Epic or other EHR] and [Provation or other endoscopy reporting software].
• Follow HIPAA [or local privacy law], infection control, and endoscope reprocessing standards.

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completed internal medicine residency and an ACGME-accredited gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology through ABIM [or a CCT in Gastroenterology (UK), FRACP (AU), or a DM in Gastroenterology (India)].
• Active, unrestricted medical license in [state] [or GMC registration (UK), AHPRA registration (AU), or state medical council registration (India)] and active DEA registration [US only].
